A painting of a loved one is a perfect gift!
I strive to capture what's unique about each model, his/her personality and facial expressions. I accept portrait commissions of children and adults, in drawing or oil painting. A discussion takes place beforehand on what the portrait should convey and what the expectations are from both the client and the model. I then normally run a 40-60 minute session with the model, before I continue working in my studio near Lausanne (Switzerland). One or more additional sessions with the model may be necessary. Working from photos is also possible if meeting the model is not an option. For portrait artworks, I use the best available materials and high-quality supports.

Delivery schedules:
For drawings and pastels: from 1 to 3 weeks depending on the type of work
For oil paintings: from 3 to 6 weeks depending on the type of work
The prices of portraits cover the head and shoulders of one model only, wearing clothes in plain colours, with minimal jewellery, on an empty background. Contact me if you'd like like a quote for a larger format, a full body, a group portrait or a setting that includes objects and furniture or any type of additional elements.
The prices do not include framing. I'm happy to provide framing options and quotes on request.
The prices do not include travel costs for sessions away from my studio, which are quoted and billed separately.
Payments: 50% advance at start of work and 50% upon delivery of final artwork.
